Different Types of Data

Types of BIG DATA Big data covers a wide array of data types, including structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data. In big data systems, several data types may need to be stored and controlled contemporary. So first we have structured data, data that has been predetermined and prepared to a set structure before being stored in data storage, and also it is a type of data that has been arranged or organized. Some of its examples are financial records and transactions. On the other hand, unstructured data does not follow any pattern or form and its data is stored in its original format and is not processed until it is needed, furthermore datasets that have not been structured in a predefined manner are referred to as unstructured data. These are the examples of unstructured data: text, documents, and multimedia files (such as image, audio, and video). Lastly, we have semi-structured data. It is called text-heavy data that is weakly grouped into categories or "meta tags. "Even though this data may be easily broken down into its constituent groups, the data within these groupings is unstructured. Due to its lack of a tight structural framework, semi-structured data could not be arranged in relational databases but semi-structured data has certain structural properties or a loose organizational framework. There's a lot of examples of semi-structured data, and these are the web server logs and streaming data from sensors. Technically, those are the types of BIG DATA.
