History of Data Science

Did you know? Tobias Mayer was the first data scientist? He was born on 1723 and later on Mayer explained the motion of the moon using spherical motion trigonometry. In order to do this, Mayer compiled nine times as many data points as necessary This are the best countries to study Data Science: Uk, Germany,France,Finland,Italy and last but definetly not the least, Netherlands

The term Data Science

Did you know that the term DATA SCIENCE has been traced back to 1974? Peter Naur proposed it as an alternative name for COMPUTER SCIENCE. While in 1996,the International Federation of Classification Societies became the first conference to specifically feature data science as a topic. But the definition was still in motion.

Background of Data Science

Data science combines multiple fields, including statistics, scientific methods, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analysis. Data science encompasses preparing data for analysis, including cleansing, aggregating, and manipulating the data to perform advanced data analysis. Data science can also use to gain knowledge about behaviors and processes, write algorithms that process large amounts of information quickly and efficiently, increase security and privacy of sensitive data, and guide data-driven decision-making.

Why is Data Science important

Data science plays an important role in virtually all aspects of business operations and strategies. For example, it provides information about customers that helps companies create stronger marketing campaigns and targeted advertising to increase product sales. And also Data science can identify patterns, permitting the making of inferences and predictions, from seemingly unstructured or unrelated data. Tech companies that collect user data can use techniques to turn what's collected into sources of useful or profitable information.
